At Henrick’s, we have a passion for wine!
Ailsa and Chris, both discovered their enthusiasm for wine in different parts of the world! Having a short South African upbringing, Ailsa discovered her love for New World Wines very early and continued her adventures in Australia, working the 2007 vintage at the highly regarded St. Hallett’s Winery in the Barossa Valley. In 1998, Chris first discovered his love for the beautiful wines of Bordeaux and still cherishes the Old World mastery of the Grape!
As you can imagine, Ailsa and Chris have spent many hours ‘sampling’ and ‘tasting’, giving each glass a “guid shoogle, haeing a snif an’ ge’in them a right guid swally!”
Our wines have been carefully and lovingly selected to ensure that we offer you variety, quality and value for money, throughout our selection. This theme is continued through our Henrick’s Wine Society, where our customers vote for their Wine of the Month. This is a great opportunity for you to choose a fantastic wine, available by the glass, which you may never have tried before!
Henrick’s isn’t all about wine though and we have a great selection of premium spirits available, ensuring something for every taste! With a particular emphasis encompassing stunning Scottish Craft Gins, some of which are sourced and produced locally in Edinburgh! In particular Ceithir Braithairean which was made specially for our son Hamish.
You can also sample a dram from some of Scotland’s finest whisky distilleries, choosing from a variety of Single Malts.
We also offer a broad range of premium lagers and beers, available by the bottle or on draught, including our very own house bitter, “Hamish’s 1st Brew”, selected to celebrate the 1st Birthday of our Son!
You can also enjoy one of our fabulous cocktails from our list which showcases classic cocktails, some which are flirty and fruity, some of which are sassy and sultry. Perfect to begin or end a great night out!

Wine Society 2018
The next wine society evening is on Tuesday 1st May at 7.30pm.
We will be travelling around the new world to compare grape varietals.
We will be joined by Neil Robertson of Terroir Wines and Dave Moore from Wild Flower Wines
Our evening starts at 7:30 pm and is only £25 per head for the wine, food, entertainment and education from an export director who has been in the industry a long time.
